CEE495 Fundamentals of Microprocessors
This course introduces computer organization, assembly language programming, and design and interfacing of processors with memory and input / output devices using a popular microprocessor family. Topics include computer architecture, history of microprocessors, architecture, instruction execution details, instruction set, assembly language programming, addressing modes, software development, memory interfacing, use of handbooks and data sheets, I/O interfacing, timing issues, A/D and D/A converter interfacing, parallel and serial I/O, microcomputer system design and applications.

Lectures will be accompanied by copies of all presented material.
Government Grantees
The cost of tuition for this course may be eligible for direct charging to a sponsored research project, because course activities can be identified specifically with the participant’s particular project and benefit the project directly. Please check with your office of sponsored programs.
Certification
A certification shall be granted to every participant who completes the course.
Course schedule and registration times
Class runs 8:30 am - 5:30 pm each day.
Registration is on the first day morning from 8:00 - 8:25 am.
